About this piece

Antique Persian Lavar Kerman rug, dating to approximately the 1920s–1930s. The rug features a warm ivory/cream ground centered by an elaborate floral medallion, surrounded by scrolling vines, bouquets, palmettes, and finely rendered botanical motifs. The palette combines dusty rose, muted coral, powder blue, navy, soft green, and warm brown, framed by a richly detailed floral border. Hand-knotted with a finely detailed pile and traditional fringed ends. The sophisticated drawing and soft, time-mellowed palette are characteristic of Kerman weaving
