About this piece

Persian Tabriz hand-knotted wool rug dating to the early 20th century, featuring a warm ivory/cream ground richly decorated with stylized floral, palmette, and botanical motifs. Deep indigo blue, brick red, muted rose, camel, brown, and touches of soft green create a beautifully aged, sophisticated palette. The open allover field is framed by multiple intricate floral borders, giving the rug a balanced yet lively composition characteristic of Persian Tabriz weaving. Hand-knotted construction with hand-finished fringe. The reverse shows the traditional woven foundation and knotting.
