Antique Chinese Art Deco rug, circa 1920s–1930s, featuring a rich crimson red field framed by a deep navy blue border. The elegant design showcases a delicate oval floral garland surrounding a central floral basket motif, with colorful blossoms, scrolling vines, butterflies, and traditional Chinese decorative elements. The striking combination of vibrant red and dark navy blue is complemented by soft accents of gold, pink, lavender, sage green, and ivory. The spacious open field and asymmetrical floral details are characteristic of Chinese Art Deco rugs from the early 20th century. Features a plush wool pile with beautiful natural shading and a handwoven foundation. The rug displays vintage character, including visible fold lines, subtle variations in the pile, and age-related wear consistent with its presumed period.
