Antique signed Persian Tabriz rug, circa 1920, featuring a rich ruby red field adorned with intricate floral motifs and elegant geometric medallions in shades of indigo blue, powder blue, ivory, soft pink, and muted sage green. Its substantial scale, finely articulated patterning, and layered palette make it a visually commanding example of early 20th-century Persian rug design. This beautifully detailed rug showcases an elaborate allover composition of scrolling vines, stylized blossoms, and repeating ornamental medallions, framed by multiple finely patterned floral borders. The dense hand-knotting and carefully balanced ornament reflect the skill and patience required to create a textile of this scale. A particularly desirable feature is the woven Persian signature, beautifully incorporated into a decorative cartouche along one end of the border. This distinctive detail adds historical interest, authenticity, and collectible appeal.
